Mark 3:20-30 (daily bread of 25/10/17)

THE SIN AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT
Key verse: 29
Salvation and condemnation depend on how people accept Jesus Christ. But there is an eternal condemnation which can't be revoked.
1. The loved ones and the scribes persecute (18-22)
Many people gathered together around Jesus, so Jesus hadn't any time to eat. Among the crowd there were Jesus' parents. They were loved ones but they had the same perspective as the religious leaders about Jesus. They said that Jesus became crazy. The scribes denied that Jesus was the Messiah. But the most serious was that they thought that Jesus' work came from Satan. God's work was interpreted as Satan's work. God always works for the salvation of souls and wants to save as many souls as possible. But the scribes denied this work because of their jealousy and legalism, and it was an irremediable fault. It's the sin against the Holy Spirit, therefore it's unforgivable.
2. Plunder the house of a strong man (4-6)
Jesus defended himself. If their reasoning that we can cast out devils by the strength of Satan is right, there is an illogicality. There will be division in the house, and the house will not remain. Then, God gave the parable of the house of a strong man. Here the strong man can be Satan. To plunder Satan's house, we must tie the chief Satan to pull his preys out of the house. To plunder the house we need a person stronger than Satan. There is only Jesus. The antagonism is necessary to save. The strong man can be Jesus. His house is God's kingdom. Satan isn't the strongest, therefore it is impossible to pull the souls from Jesus, because Jesus the strong man is the perfect protector. But Satan pulls the people out of Jesus' house because they are easy prey. At any rate, the collaboration between Jesus and Satan,as the leaders said, is a pipe dream. Jesus said that all the blasphemies can be forgiven but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can't be forgiven. The work of salvation of souls is the Holy Spirit's work.
