ONE NIGHT IN HONOUR OF THE LORD
Finally came the night of vigil in honor of Yahweh. It happened that Israel experienced a great joy of deliverance.
1) One night in honor of the Lord (37-42)
Thanks to the love and power of God, Israel came to be delivered from the hand of Pharaoh after 430 years (40). When Israel left Rameses and arrived at Sukkot, besides the children there were 600,000 men and countless tribes and animals (38). They left without any preparation. They, even if they had been entered Egypt as one family (1: 2), could now form a large armed force (41). God had trained his people in order to use them for his need. So Iseraélites' life in Egypt is something very precious. But if we consider only that sufferings from the human point of view, they become unnecessary people. The work of the Lord is fulfilled, on the night of the LORD.
2) the order of the Passover (43-51)
They say that if someone wanted to eat the Passover, he had to be circumcised. In this case, circumcision meant he received the purification of God and he became a new man. Only the new man can experience the joy of Easter.
Prayer: Lord, it is very sigificatif that you put the will on Israel and sent them to Egypt and trained them for 430 years. Lord leads France, our country through various tests and use it for your name.
