GOD GIVES SOME LAWS ON SLAVES
Exodus 21: 1-11
Formerly, there were slaves who were sold. Especially in the Third World, there are maids employed for a low price. Today's text teaches us how we should treat slaves, servants, and employees.

1) After a while, you must free the slaves
Formerly, there were slaves dus to several reasons: the war, the debt ... But the Bible tells us that we must give them the freedom after a while. In the Third World, or black market in developed countries, despite apparent Christianity mistreat unfairly servants and other employees.

2) We must take care of clothing and food of servants
When the servant is sold for marriage, the master must takes care of his clothes and his food, his marital rights. If the woman bought for marriage does not please the master, he must still care for her rights. If the master marries other women, she must be given the freedom, and if she wants to stay still, he must look after his rights. For those who are wrongfully oppressed, there is always God's law (Gal 3: 27-28).

Prayer: Lord, help us in many respect this divine law in respect of servants and employees. We pray for those who are wrongfully oppressed. The world is changing, but there are many who are wrongfully oppressed in the third world and the black peoples in certain countries.

One Word: mind food and clothing of servants
