YOUR LOINS GIRDED, YOUR SANDALS ON YOUR FEET
Exodus 12: 1-13
The text today tells us a lot about what shoud be the attitude to take, after the plague of the firstborn of the Israelites, when they were preparing to Exodus. What is the subject of reflection here?

1) The need of Exodus
What was the situation of the Israelites in Egypt? They ate and lived under slavery in Egypt. To live and eat, they led a life of slavery in Egypt. So they led a life very overwhelming and suffering. It is the same for those who live the Christian life without having experienced forgiveness through Jesus Christ and freedom in him. They seem pretty happy, but in reality, in the interior are always the sigh, confusion and despair. It is necessary that the life of man, so that it be happy, 1) be conforme to the foreknowledge of God, and 2) leave the old life of sin, that is, it takes the path of the exodus.

2) The posture of the preparation for the Exodus
The Israelites should gird loins and put sandals on their feet. There are believers among the people who delude themselves thinking that by this level of effort they have made the exodus. But it is not so, this is just the beginning.

3) Lamb
To accomplish the exodus, it needs the blood of the lamb. It is the same for Christians so that they be able to strip their life of sin. In Exodus, we must take the blood of Christ.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for that you have made us recognize the need of Exodus so as to begin a life of faith. Help us to watch out and pray to take the blood of JC throughout our lives

One Word: The sens of the exodus
