GOD GIVES THE MANNA, FOOD TO ISRAELITES
Exodus 16: 1-26
We all received the Lord JC and we are all children of God who clothed the new nature. But we lack the training and spiritual strength. We tend to go back inwardly to sin as the dog returns to his vomit (2P 2: 22 and proverb citation).
We will think about what God did to the Israelites who were acting this way
1) The Israelites murmured against the Lord
The Israelites came out of Egypt and when they found themselves in front of the Red Sea, the Egyptians chased them. The Israelites were deadlocked. From his love and his power, God had saved the Israelites. So at that time, the Israelites raised voices to exalt love of the Lord. But as soon as a few days passed, the memory of the meat eaten in Egypt was awaken, they began to murmur against Moses. But in reality it is against the Lord (8). Does this happened to you murmuring against the Lord? This means that we doubt God's love.
2) And the LORD God of the Israelites gave manna from heaven
God rained manna from heaven for the Israelites. The reason God gave every day the manna is that the Israelites had to believe in the power of the Lord. Those who gathered a lot because of their are greedy and those who have not collected enough are because of their laziness. The first training of christian is to eat every day our daily bread. We must eat the daily bread, even though it is a small thing as 50 cents.
Prayer: Lord, help us to remember the grace and power by which thou hast saved us. Help us not to doubt the love of God. Help us has supported the training that you give us to eat the manna of God day after day.
