JESUS TAKES CARE OF SHEEP
Mt 12: 9-21
The Pharisees spent their time condemning. But what was Jesus? His beautiful heart proved by its action.
1. A poor sheep with the withered hand
A man with the withered hand had come to hear the word of God, he thought that Jesus would deliver her illness. But the Pharisees did this man bait to destroy Jesus Christ. Thus risking condemnation, Jesus healed the man. How does a man better than a sheep.
2. Jesus does not break the bruised reed
Jesus is very different from the Pharisees, it is full of magnanimity. With what words describe the beautiful Heart of Jesus shepherd? Matthew describes quoting Isaiah. It does not break the bruised reed, he does not extinguish the smoking flax. Are you critical or magnanimous? Jesus helped the poor sheep without a shepherd.
Prayer: Lord, I thank thee that thou have mercy on me, a poor sheep, give me a heart in caring for the poor sheep.
One Word: Lord, I am only a poor sheep sick
